I've been reading "Hagitude" by Sharon Blackie recently (if you've not yet read it, I highly recommend you do so). It has felt like a perfect companion while making these pieces. A passage on the Dark Feminine was particularly resonant with this piece. Rather than try to paraphrase, I'll just share it directly: "The Dark Feminine is above all the transformative feminine, teaching us that there can't be genuine growth without pain, challenge, unpredictability - and, especially, awareness of the dark. Wisdom comes from the darker places, not from having always lived in the light; and the creative impulse - which can motivate and sustain life only by constantly making way for new life - arises out of the friction which exists between the two."

A collection of stones that invite and inspire transformation and creativity born from walking tenuous line between exuberant joy and heartbreaking sorrow... a life being authentically lived.
