What is magic? For me, magic is the sound of Great Horned Owls calling to one another from the forest around my house in the morning. It is walking through my orchard and seeing a little tree frog jump across my path. Magic is losing myself in the detail of a single flower, letting my fingers brush the pollen drenched anther. Magic isn't (always) something we conjure; often, magic is something we notice. Opals, for me, are reminders of the magic that can be found in the most mundane... the magic that exists in rocks.
