Before we had photographs and social media, when someone wanted to ensure their lover thought of them often, they would gift a hand-painted portrait of their eye. Perhaps a reminder that they are always watching... or close? Perhaps a proxy for the real thing when physical presence wasn't possible. I have always thought this a delightfully creepy show of love. Perhaps today, the eye can be a reminder that your highest self is always present, watching... an invitation for living in ever-greater alignment with your highest self. 
 
Hand painted, one of a kind porcelain eye set in sterling silver with fine silver bezel. Texture is made from recycled sterling silver dust. This piece is part of the on-going collaboration with Studio Golden in Olympia, WA.
