The Sleeping Beauty Turquoise mine in Arizona (no longer open), was set against a backdrop of a mountain that looked like a woman sleeping with her arms crossed... the sleeping beauty. Stones from this mine are some of the rarest and most prized among Turquoise collectors as it is as "pure" a Turquoise as one can find (with very little veining and a blue the color of a summer sky). It is always hard for me to let go of these beauties (they do, indeed, live up to their name). This one is set in my sunrise setting, an homage to bright and beautiful new beginnings.
